Air vice Marshal Ayo Jolasinmi was appointed the 5th Chief of Defence Space Administration on the 3rd February, 2023. Prior to his appointment, the senior officer has held and pioneered several command, operational and administrative appointments during the course of his meritorious career in the Nigerian Air Force.
Some of these appointments include, the Founding Rector, international helicopter flying school Enugu, Pioneer Commander, helicopter detachment, operation lafiya Dole, Maiduguri, Pioneer Commander, Air task force, operation Diran Mikiya, Deputy force Commander, operation Shiran Daji and Commandant, Nigerian Airforce Institute of Safety. The Senior Officer was appointed Air Officer Commanding, Air Training Command as well as the Director of Safety,Headquarters Nigerian Airforce, Chief of Staff Air Training Command Kaduna and Director of Operations Headquarters Nigerian Airforce.
He was also the Chief of Defence Policy and Plans (CDPP) at the Defence Headquarters. Click to find out more

THE VISION OF THE DSA IS TO CREATE A ROBUST INDIGENOUS SPACE COMPETENCE THAT IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING AND UTILIZING SPACE ASSETS TO MEET THE OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE AFN AND OTHER SECURITY AGENCIES
